Making the process easier
As a Searchlight Technology customer you may login directly or access the portal from our integration partners’ websites.
Creating a search in the portal simply requires the:

Property address to be entered;

Certificate of Title to be uploaded.;

Council area to be validated;
-
Search type to be nominated;
- Section 7 (Urgent or Non-Urgent)
- Section 187 only.

What's in it for Practitioners?

A once-only registration providing business and credit card details.

The portal provides a single entry interface for practitioners seeking a Section 7 or Section 187 search, or a pre-populated Form1 from any Council.

Credit card payments are handled by the secure Stripe payment gateway.

Receipts are automatically sent to the practitioner on behalf of the council, avoiding the need for practitioners to provide credit card information each time.

Councils upload completed searches onto the Searchlight platform in a standard format.

Practitioners are notified by email as soon as the Council completes the search, indicating the relevant documents are available for download.

The Searchlight portal stores completed search data, thereby providing a record of completed searches by Council.
